Contax E Zeiss Ikon German SLR camera Carl Zeiss Tessar CLA works curtains OK!
If you wonder why I have same shipping to European union like for rest of world it is thetherefore because for these sales needs to be paid VAT to government. There is no option in ebay software how to set it I am using part of shipping charge (and still loosing on sales to EU). If you are from EU and you will purchase 2 or more items I will arrange for you special shipping ch...arge that can be lower like for heaviest item itself! If you are from Europe but not from European union or you have valid EU VAT No., do not pay and ask me for shipping charge mentioned bellow in description.
This camera was manufactured in year 1955-57 when the Zeiss Ikon Dresden still had this name. It was the follower of Contax D and difference was exposure meter. The feature for stopping automatic lenses is still missing. Camera is identical like Pentacon E. Camera has very interesting type of changing speeds - they are divided in 2 groups - black and red.
Camera is rare here, way rarer like Contax/Pentacon F. I get just one in 3-4 years. Camera has M42 mount.
Description:Ser. No. 99485(inside). Lens Carl Zeiss Tessar 2.8/50, single coated, stops up to 16, ser. No. 4718015, aperture preset type. Shutter speeds 1-1/1000 and B.
Cosmetically is this camera MINT-. Chrome with few tiny scratches only. No brassings. Leatherette with slight wearonly. Black edges with slight wear as well. Lens barrel without scratches, very few marks. Top specimen exceptionally preserved, must be one of best in world remaining, very nice and fresh looking.
With case and cap. Uptake spool is original.
Shutter was fully overhauled therefore works properly. Shutter curtains were chemically restored so they are like new now. Picture counter works, selftimer is OK. Glass on lens is clean, no fungus, no scratches. Very good glass. Few bubbles present like always. Focusing and stopping is smooth I lubricated and cleaned lens recently. Prism finder without marks, focusing screen with few scratches. Exposure meter works and is not lazy, but I did not tested it for accuracy. Selftimer works Camera is in well order, ready to take pictures.
Camera was recently overhauled therefore works properly, shutter speeds look appropriate. Glass on lens is clean, no fungus, nealy without scratches. There is one not cleanable mark about 3mm long but it is close to margin, no problem for picture taking, expect this problem nice glass. Focusing and stopping is smooth, I lubricated lens recently. Selftimer works. Viewfinder clean without marks. Shutter curtains were restored therefore are light tight. I am controlling by SLR every lens and mirror infinity adjustment on collimator (focus tester). Service like has got this camera costs in USA way over $100. Finder clean without marks. We are repairing, overhauling, cleaning and lubricating every camera, lens, binocular, microscope ... to restore its original functionality as much as possible. However we are not disassembling it completely and clean every part in ultrasonic cleaner separately if not necessary. If I am not satisfied how something works - considering item age and construction - I will write about it in description. You do not need ask me if it works, we did everything possible to repair it, and I believe for some groups is our repair workshop between the most qualifying in world. Get it working better can only better repairman (or with better replacement part source). However I am not manufacturing them, therefore always read carefully my description about glass, etc. Btw, if you need repair some older mechanical camera, lens, accessory, binocular or microscope you can always ask me.Air mail shipping and handling charge is WORLDWIDE $41 - INSURED; to European countries those are not in European union $26 REGISTERED (letter), it has automatic insurance coverage up to€50 (Euro) per packet, contact me, if higher insurance is required than use worldwide option. They do exist express options (EMS and business packet) to most countries of world however cost are different (expensive) you need ask about them separately.
If post will confirm that insured packet was lost or damaged (you need claim by delivery) I will replace it - when impossible refund the full amount. I need wait for post confirmation, too many crooks lately trying to have both item and money.
It is included in it incombinable $5 packing and handling charge that remains by combined shipping. Rest of charge I will combine and calculate just true shipping charge for packet to your country if you will purchase more items.
I have declared up to 10 days handling time for my items. I need this time to control and last time test every item, for items shipped out of European union put it in custom office that needs 2-3 days prepare documents and transfer packet to post office. Expected postal delivery time is usually up to 2 weeks but delays simple happens, for example in USA packet often need more days for security control in custom office. For these reasons I choose to check ebay shipping option "economy shipping ... 11-20 business days", I hope that you will get as quick as possible (in most cases you can calculate get packet 1.5-2 weeks after payment date if you are in European union, 2-3 weeks for rest of world) but really I can not affect work of custom and post offices worldwide anyway and delays can happen. Online trackable it is in some countries, for example USA, China, Japan. Contact me before making any Ebay or Paypal claim, PLEASE!
Combined shipping saves often costs per item considerably but not in all situations, ask about exact items. By very cheap item is possible ship uninsured - this will cost $3 less, but I will do it only if you will declare that you will not make any claim if packet will be lost by transport.Look at my other auctions for more camera items!

If is some difference between description and picture usually is mistake in description, by cameras, lenses, prisms, etc, picture always show actual item (some small items like extension tubes, flash shoes, etc can be exception).
