Leica Leitz 3C, IIIC Camera With 5cm f2 Summar Lens..and Case..I have a Hector 13.5 Lens in another auction..The camera looks almost like new for an 80+year old camera..Shutter speeds are good up to a 1/2 and 1 second which hangs up but when you turn the knob reconnects...Curtains look in great shape...Cosmetically looks almost new see photos...Serial number 256638 dates to 1937...Lens serial # is 383545...This is the same camera I used in HS back in 1975 & I lost in the 80s...This cam...eras vulcanite looks great can’t find any flaws on the vulcanite...Now I’m selling this camera as a Collectible only...The Lens has haze but still I would take photos with this...I’m not really into film anymore..I kept this camera in the case all the time with silica gel...I do not see fungus inside the lens but at 80+ years old it most like would have some there.I took this camera to a KEH buying event and it would be criminal to part this out....Now I want to remind everybody as this auction has generated lots of interest that for this auction I will not be taking offers yet...@ 249.99 I feel it’s a very fair opening bid for this IIIc and the condition of camera lens and case...I did some research on a Leica serial number page and this camera dates to 1937...I wish I would look this good at 82 years old..Once again this is a FINAL SALE AS IS selling as a COLLECTIBLE only...Hope all the corrected information will satisfy everybody who’s been sending questions in..Thanks for stopping by...
