Arare Sheffield silver plated four cut glass bottle cruet by Walker and Hallwith a date letter dating the piece to around 1939. It is inscribed to the ovalcartouche to the front with the famous RAF (Royal Airforce) insignia. The setis comprised of one bottle with faceted cut glass stopper, one with a hingedlid, a further with a sprinkler cap and finally a glass oval dish for salt ormustard all housed comfo...rtably in the silver plated frame. The central shaftterminates in a good sturdy carrying loop and the frame is raised on fourorbical feet. The spoon is not the original although strangely enough it isfurnished with the broad arrow mark which the frame does not possess. Ingleaming and good condition for its years with just unobtrusive signs ofservice, including some small distortion to the sprinkler cap mount which looksto have been reattached at some point and some rubbing where the cap fits securelyover the mount and feint surface circles where the bottles have sat; anythingelse is tiny and needs close inspection to discern. There is some patinationsurrounding the feet to the underside. The bottles are without chip, crack orrestoration. Displaysreally well, possibly a piece from the Officers’ Mess.
