Offered for sale here is gorgeous Canon Pellix QL SLR camera ensemble; with a FAST, 50mm F/1.4 Version I prime lens and some other great extras. READ BELOW FOR DETAILS: INCLUDED IN THIS CLASSIC CANON PELLIX QL OUTFIT ARE:
* A GORGEOUS, Canon Pellix 35mm SLR camera that bears serial number:160904. Its date code that is stamped in its film chamber is J817 which indicates that it was made in August 1969. This is a fully operative, modern classic, beauty! The meter is active (it re...sponds to light). There are NO ugly and all too common, "skid marks"( aka prism mirror silvering deterioration) in the viewfinder field of view. This Canon Pellix appears to be fully operative! The meter is active, meaning, it responds to light. It fires on all shutter speeds; the self-timer works; the frame counter works a and the eyepiece shutter opens and closes properly. The meter and the shutter speeds have not been professionally checked for accuracy. This Pellix camera comes ready to load and use with a fresh, LR44, 1.5 volt, alkaline battery for the meter. It also has an accessory shoe cover, an old style, "Canon" slip-on body cap and a PC port cap. * A Canon Pellix black, heavy-duty, leather eveready camera case. It sports a beautiful, chrome, "Pellix" logo on the nose of the case. It is in very nice condition and it provides superb protection!! Included with the case is its original, "Canon" camera carrying strap with a neck/shoulder pad. There are two chrome, strap attaching rings on both the camera body and the case. * An original, Canon Pellix QL Instruction Manual. It has 43 pages, it is 6" x 4 1/4" in size and this edition was published in October 1968. It is in very nice shape and its loaded with data and illustrations. Complete without any missing pages; NO pencil/pen notes; NO torn pages! This is a must-have reference for any decent Canon Pellix QL outfit.
* A FAST , Canon FL 50mm F/1.4 Version I normal prime lens that bears serial number: 10552. It was first introduced in September 1966. The Canon guru site, Mir cites: "A fast standard lens with a large aperture of f/1.4. Although a small amount of flare is sometimes recorded when lights are included in pictures of maximum aperture, flare elimination and sharpness increase when the aperture is closed down to f/2.8. Corrections of curvature of field, astigmatism and color aberration are excellent. This lens, which meets- all photographic requirements, is the ultimate in standard lenses."
* A booklet titled: "Canon Interchangeable FL Lenses Instructions" ; 21 pages, published in April 1970, @6" x 3 1/2" in size. It is packed with Canon FL lens data, cameras and accessories information for such as filters, cases, lens hoods, etc.It shows some wear, but complete and fully legible.
* "Select Interchangeable lenses For Your Camera"; 8" x 8 1/4", 14 pages, Published November 1965, This is a beautiful reference for the entire Canon FL lens Series! Full specifications, features and capabilities. Full color. Clean example.This SUPERB, Canon Pellix QL, its FAST, Canon FL 50mm f1.4 Version I lens and all of its accessories are in EXCELLENT CONDITION optically, mechanically and cosmetically!!! This ensemble does NOT look like a 50+ years old gear (See Pictures)! Everything appears to be fully operative without any issues. Beautiful black anodizing and sparkling chrome, everything is in is in a very nice state! The beautiful glass is free of scratches, fungus and cleaning marks! These are great looking classic set with gorgeous optics and smooth focusing/aperture setting actions. Responsive, clean and dry diaphragm blades! It There may be a few specks of the usual fine dust inside the lens, but most certainly, not enough to affect the contrast. Beyond a few very small blemishes, everything is in exceptionally well preserved condition!! I think you will be very happy with the condition and performance of these outstanding Canon pieces of Japanese optical engineering history!This very interesting, Canon Pellix QL outfit will add some interesting versatility to your film/digital photographic arsenal!! Lock this sharp looking, F/1.4 specimen onto your favorite film or DSLR and check out its great documented, optical reputation! There are several digital possibilities with the use of optional adapters, some of which include: EOS EF, Nikon 1, Fujifilm X-Pro1, Sony NEX and others. It is a real treat using these older classic lenses on the modern digital cameras!
