Olivetti M10Olivetti M10 (British version) One of the prettiest of the Kyocera/Tandy/Radio Shack/NEC slabtop computers made.Similar to a Radio Shack Model 100 or Tandy 102 or the NEC PC-8201a or the Kyocera KC-85, the M10 was manufactured by Kyocera for Olivetti. The main difference between the M10 and the others is first, the silver/gray case. Second the tilting display. That display tilt is one of the best features of the M10. You have the ability to adjus...t the angle of the display depending on the lighting. That and adjusting the contrast made the M10 much more readable. This particular unit is the British version as shown by the British Pound key instead of the US "#". Otherwise, it is exactly the same as a US unit. There is also a bus connector so theoretically you could hook this up to a Tandy Disk/Video Interface and have a video display along with a floppy drive for data and program storage. The same is true for the Tandy Portable Disk Drive, both I and II. Nice to have the options for saving programs! Battery compartment is clean with no corrosion. Included is a full 32K (yes K, not MEG) of RAM along with Microsoft Multiplan spreadsheet ROM. I fired it up and it works, but I'm no Multiplan expert so I didn't do a whole lot. There are a couple of very minor scuffs on the edge of the machine that are only noticeable if you really look for them. I've included pictures of these if the spirit of full disclosure. Olivetti M10's don't turn up every day, especially in this good of condition. Definitely worth adding to someone's collection. Note: I took these pictures of the actual merchandise I'm offering.
