This is a vintage Model F PC/XT keyboard that is in great physical condition. I purchased this used and it looks like the previous owner had restored it (replaced foam), and added in a hard-wired "Soarer's Mod" USB conversion so you can use this with any modern machine.
The typing experience is wonderful, however there are a few small issues: the key next to the Enter key does not work (Esc keycap placed there in pictures) and the USB connector wiggles a bit (need to align it ...correctly for proper operation). I believe the non-responsive key can be fixed, at worst it probably needs the spring and/or flipper to be replaced (doing diagnostics with hidlisten indicates there is nothing wrong with the key matrix). However, I will be selling this AS-IS in this regard. It is currently programmed with a custom layout that I feel works great for folks used to the standard modern layout, however I can return to default configuration if desired.
Overall this is a fantastic deal, unrestored XTs in good condition easily go for $100-200 and Soarer's converters go for around $40. Get this wonderful example from me and save yourself the work and money.
