Most Santa dolls can be recognized by the distinctive mark on the lower lip. I have rarely ever seen a Santa that I didn't fall in love with at first sight--and this beauty is certainly no exception. With her huge blue eyes and a look of pure innocence, she will surely steal your heart as well. She is garbed in antique garments of the mid to late 180...0s and is on a fully jointed body with original finish. One of the prettiest and certainly one of the best, there is NO reason to deny yourself so beautiful a German Girl that will only appreciate in value in the coming years. She has a poured bisque socket head on a fully jointed composition and wood body with original finish signed Made in Germany. Big blue fixed eyes with painted upper and lower lashes, molded and feathered brows, open mouth with four upper teeth and characteristic lower lip mark, dimpled chin, pierced ears, very pretty light golden blond mohair wig with extension curls.
Dressed in a pretty antique white cotton dress with ruffles and eyelet lace dating from the 1880s with ten rows of tucks on her skirt, antique white cotton undergarments, a wonderful antique white cotton pique capelet with gorgeous broderie anglaise lace edge and a casment button at the neck, fabulous antique white cotton nets socks, a large blue ribbon sash at the waist and a matching hairbow, pink wool knit boots with leather soles. There is wear tospot repairs to the dress and soiling to the shoes. But Whew! Just an outstanding presentation overall!
