United Type JAN CUE 845 (VT - 43) Audio Output Tube, On Amplitrex

You are bidding on a United Electronics type 845 radio/audio output/transmitting tube. It was made for the US Military and bears military markings, JAN CUE 845 and VT-43. It is a used tube. It tests on my Amplitrex AT1000 tester with 113% Emission and 125% Grid Emission using the variable bias mode. It tests with some gas, which may be acceptable for an output tube. Data written on the base indicates that it was put into service on 10-11-1949, and was... available for service for 18424 hours. So, it was available for service for just more than 2 years. There is some darkening of the envelope at the top and bottom, but it still has a large shiny getter spot. It may have some life left! Shipping weight is 2 pounds.
