Lens glass and various other optical items such as rangefinders and viewfinders are by visual inspection only. Keep in mind that most lenses, even brand new lenses may have dust particles inside. It has no affect on image results whatsoever. Most items are collectible and sold accordingly. If you intend on using the items in the field or for professional reasons, it is advisable to have the item serviced or cleaned, lubricated and adjusted for ultimate perfection. All of our items are sold AS IS with no returns. Please be aware, you are buying from a professional vintage photographic dealer. You should expect everything to function reasonably well, and that optics have no problems that would noticeably affect image quality and results, unless we describe them otherwise.
