This extremely rare "REJECTED" tag was used at the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics in Groton, Connecticut during World War Two. All joints, valves, welds etc. on a submarine had to be inspected by the both the Inspection department of E.B. and by the Navy inspectors. If something was inspected and failed it would receive a "Rejected" tag . This 3 1/8 x 6 1/4 inch black and red cardboard "REJECTED" tag with a caricature of Hideko Tojo on one side dates from World war Tw...o and was made for Electric Boat. This is an extremely rare piece of World War Two Submarine history! As with all my Ebay items I am starting this auction at $9.99 with NO Reserve!
