Original Description:
This sale is for the vacuum tube only.  All test equipment, audio equipment, and other junk in the pictures is not part of this listing.
Condition: This was purchased from the Estate of an Electrical Engineer.  Manufacturer / date code on the tube is tv1 56I stamped into the base (pictured). Philips 1956 is the best I can decipher from the code.  Most of the paint is gone but it appears to say Amperex made in Holland with the remnants of the BugleBoy logo.  There... is no original box.  The base is tight, the pins are straight, the key is missing and I have marked the side that lines up with the key with a sharpie marker.  You can remove it with rubbing alcohol if you don't like it.  I doubt the electrons care one way or the other as they flow through it.  You can see the discolorations in the getter flashing, meaning this tube has seen plenty of use.

Testing (with test equipment and real life application):
This vacuum tube was tested on a fully serviced and computer converted Western Electric KS-15874-L1 (made by Hickok for Western Electric).
Important note about the Cardmatic rectifier test circuit.  These testers arelimited to 250volts.  Rectifier tubes typically run at much higher plate voltages in real-world applications.
Test conditions are found in the final picture.Cardmatic test results:
240ma at 250 volts and 950 ohms plate circuit resistance

No two tube testers will deliver the same results due to the variance in circuits used and/or the measured values of the individual components inside.

Since this tube has seen lots of use, I plugged it into a Dynaco ST70 for a real-world test (pictured).  It powers the ST70 and I let it do so for a couple hours.  No arcing in the tube or other craziness was observed.
Due to the age and nature of vacuum tubes (and having no control over your equipment), they are being soldas-is with no returns.  These have beentested to the best of my abilities with equipment that I own, or have accessto.  Feel free to PM me to set anappointment to see the item(s) in person, (the transaction will stillbe completed through eBay).  Be VERY sure you want this before you buy it as there are no returns accepted.Shipping:

Shipping within the United States is via USPS Priority Mail in a box that will be large to accommodate lots of bubble-wrap to ensure safety of the item.  It will be insured and signature will be required (that is what the $5 handling cost covers).

I will only ship internationally, through the eBay Global Shipping program.  It will be insured and signature will be required (that is what the $5 handling cost covers).  International buyers are responsible for international postage, import duties, taxes, etc.  Please do not ask for other slower / less expensive international shipping options they take too long and the longer it stays in transit, the greater the chance for damage to the item, and I will not respond to your request.
A personal note on listening.  I don't have the most sensitive ear.  I am not the person to tell you about thequality or the character of the sound coming from any particular tube or tubeamp.  I enjoy the depth and softness ofthe sound that comes out of a tube amp compared to most transistor amps, but Iam incapable of further critique unless the capacitors in the amp are defectiveor a tube is red-plating while in operation and making that nasty screechingnoise ^_^  I do however take care of thethings I come across and try to describe them to the best of my abilities.
