1950 ' S LEITZ LEICA—UNCOMMON EMOOX " SLOT " CASE FOR LEICAVIT RAPID WINDER (SYOOM)
Item History & Price
- Built for SUMMARIT, but will also hold Leicas with 5cm Elmars (extended) and Summitars, and other Leitz lenses.
The EMOOX was one of three different cases made postwar for screw mount IIc, IIIc , IIf and IIIf Leicas with attached Leicavits (SYOOM). (You could probably also use these cases on the Ic and If with an attached Leicavit. The IIIg may also fit.)
The cases are:
• Th...e ESOOR for 5cm Elmars• The EPZOO for 5cm Summitars (closed), or Elmar (closed or open).• The EMOOX for cameras with the 5cm Summarit.
(Note: The IIIg with Leicavit has a different case again, but should also fit this case.)
These cases are fairly uncommon, and are often priced at over $300. I am offering this one for a much more modest amount, together with a copy of a 1954 Leicavit brochure, a 1958 Leitz Catalog, and two 1956 and 1957 2-page lens price lists.
CONDITION This rare Leitz-made LEICAVIT RAPID WINDER CASE is in near-fine condition, both inside and out.
It has good color, fastens correctly, the straps are strong, and it doesn't need any repairs. There are some slight marks on the back of the case (not visible when it's closed), but that's pretty much it, other signs of use are minor.
The body securing screw is the smaller 1/4" size, so with an adaptor you can use it for either the 3/8" bodies, too.
The 1954 LEICAVIT BROCHURE is a copy, not an original.
The 1958 LEICA CATALOG is original, and shows slight wear. I'm also including two, 2-page LEITZ LENS PRICE LISTS (not shown), original, in German, from 1956 and 57, clean condition.
I ship internationally via USPS Priority Mail, item will be marked as "Used Photo Case."
