This came with a large collection of old cameras so I am certain it was indeed made for old cameras though could be used for other things if you prefer. It has a threaded bolt at top to secure to bottom of camera. The l...egs spread quite wide or leave them closer if you prefer. Everything opens and closes properly all clicking firmly into place.
Leather case is as shown (no top cover and botton is missing)
