This is a Vintage Blue Onion 12 1/2" Oval Serving Platter, Made by Villeroy & Boch Dresden in Germany
This platter is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, has crazing on the reverse side.
Measures approx: 12 1/2" long x 8 1/2" wide.
The Villeroy & Boch company began in the tiny Lorraine village of Audun le Tiche, where the iron master François Bochset up a pottery company with his three sons in 1748. ... On 14 April 1836, the Jean Franç...ois Bochcompany merged with that of the competitor, Nicolas Villeroy, and became Villeroy & Boch, (V&B, also simply 'VB').
