Those collectors with a TRS-80 Model I with the Expansion Interface will be interested in this.Maybe you have an EI that is "flaky" or maybe it just doesn't work at all. Or maybe it would be good to have a "spare". So you have been watching eBay for a replacement, but...maybe all you found was... one that comes with a Model I (which you don't need) or another that the seller says he has no way of testing and yet another that doesn't say anything other than maybe he just doesn't now anything about these or what they are for. And they're all probably expensive and most are untested.But now - Here is one straight from Radio Shack National Parts!Radio Shack National Parts was the division of Tandy that stocked all of the replacement parts for Radio Shack items. This is a Latest" Model 1 EI Mother Board - the re-designed one which doesn't have the 'microphonics' problem of the previous design.If you want the most reliable and stable Expansion Interface, then this is the board you want. Notice the RAM chip sockets run the "length" of the board, not "across" like the early model. It can be populated with up to 32K RAM to bring your 16K Level 2 Model I system up to a full 48K. Simply replace your old EI MB with this late model one. If you have RAM in your old EI, you can just move it to this board. And yes - simple enough!This design fixed the problems that made some of the early Model I EI systems so unreliable.
