✪ Vintage Wooden Letterpress Printing Block/Art Supply – Large Bird of Prey, Hawk, Eagle – Wild Bird Attacking, Flying, Hunting, Talons ✪ ► Condition is Very Good. Shipped with USPS First Class Package. ◄ ☺ This is a beautiful, vintage printing block that has been cleaned. ☺ ✯ (It is also in wonderful cond...ition!) ✯ · This printing block measures approximately 5 inches x 1.5 inches x 1 inch. Please see image with quarter for size comparison. · The wood does appear to have faded ink stains in some places. Please see pictures for documentation of these marks. · On the back of the block, there are a few spots where white paper has adhered to the wood. I believe these pieces of paper can be removed with proper cleaning supplies without damaging the integrity of the printing block. Please see pictures for documentation of these spots. · Please note that on the very edges, the metal of the printing block does not appear to be lying flat against the wood. Please see images for documentation of this. Please also note that due to the uneven shape of the block, it is difficult for the block to stand upright on its own in some positions.
· The image on the printing block appears to be a large bird of prey (an eagle or some kind of hawk) mid-flight/attack. His wings are fully extended, as are his talons. He appears to be swooping down to attack or grab prey. The bird’s head is turn to the side, showing the curve and sharp point of his beak. One of his claws is picked up above the other, reaching out in attack.
