MOS 6581 SID Chip - Commodore 64 - FULLY W/ GOOD FILTERS
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:7086847 | Brand: Commodore |
Up for sale is an MOS 6581 SID chip with a datecode of 42nd week 1985. The chip has been fully tested with a wide gamut of software in my C64 chip testing board (which is NOT included of course!), including SID Audit v0.16, SIDBench, SIDtest and also various famous SID chip tunes using SIDPlay64. All 3 voices operate just fine, as do combined waveforms. Finally, all of the filter functions (low, band and high pass filters) were thoroughly tested and found to be in perfect working... order. Ring modulation and hard sync was also tested. Chip was handled with ESD protection during testing.
The chip has normal length pins and was not desoldered, so it will fit nicely in a 28-pin socket.
Chip will be shipped in an ESD-safe box as pictured.
Thanks for looking, and feel free to ask any questions you might have!
I strongly recommend installing a heatsink on SID chips when installing them into Commodore 64 computers, or other equipment which uses original SID chips.
