Unique Early 19th Century Iron Wig curler with Stand. Neat curling iron is hand forged and made in a form much like a curling iron today. It measures 10 inches long and has nice curled around handles. The stand is super unique, with a red painted surface for decoration. It is cast iron with a decorative base and curvy rod. It is marked on the underside with a maker’s mark....C.F. Co. The curling iron could be heated in the fireplace, used to curl ones hair or wig, then placed in the ...stand to cool. Both pieces in great condition. Likely dates somewhere to 1780-1820 or so here about a. Super rare and unusual. Neat early personal items, nice to have the painted and signed stand.
