* ITEM DESCRIPTIONA Pair of Chinese Porcelain Garlic Mouth Mirror Vases, Republic Period Signed, dated 1934. The body is wonderful hand painted with high relief enamel featuring a traditional mountainous river landscape, peoples figures story, red seal mark to base, each height approx 34 cm. Both in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs! You can ask for more pictures.
Wang Ye Ting was a famous Chinese... porcelain painter (artist). He was born in 1884 and died in 1942. He learned Chinese water color paintings (flower and bird) from both Zhang Xiao-geeng and Pan Gou. He came to Jing De Zhen 景德鎮 to learn Chinese porcelain when he was 25. He was one of the "Eight Friends of Zhu Shan" 珠山八友(Zhu Shan Ba You) who were all famous painters of Chinese porcelain. He worked as a instructor at the Jaing De Zhen Professional Porcelain/Ceramic school. He placed different chop marks on his works (paintings on porcelain)
