Up for your consideration is this VINTAGE MONTGOMERY WARD "HAWTHORNE" SPIN CASTING REEL No. 351 60-6408. This auction includes the WARDS "Hawthorne" Spin Casting Reel carefully packaged for the winner.
MARKINGS: The reel is marked: HAWTHORNE Model 351 60-6408 Made in U.S.A. Montgomery Ward. The reel is known as a Trade reel! It was most likely made by SHAKESPEARE for the Wards Co. product line. The exact age is un...known. REEL CONDITION: ...This reel WORKS AS DESIGNED and is mechanically sound having all parts fully inspected! GENERAL USE is noted! This one has just a few light scattered paint flakes on the metal cover. There's a rub along the top edge of the tail plate side. NO serious dings or dents in the cover. The handle and spool spin free & easy! Old line needs to be removed and replaced prior to any use. The clicker/anti-reverse lever works in both positions. GREAT for any collection!
