I recently have had the privilege of buying watchmakers estates in Canada and Missouri, as well as buying a collection in Oklahoma and a jewelry store in Iowa. Lots of stuff coming in. Good quality pieces. I will be selling some of these pieces this week and weeks to come. Here are some specifics about this watch:Brand: LeCoultreModel: Cal K814 17 jewel Memovox Alarm.Era: Late 1950s or 1960sRunning Condition: This watch runs good and keeps good time. * (Please se...e asterisk statement below) The alarm works as it should.
Case Composition: 10K Gold Filled cap with stainless steel back.Case Dimensions including lugs, but not including crown: 41.5mm X 34mmBand Composition: LeatherUseable Length: This watch and band combination can work for wrists up to 9 inches in circumference. Of course this can easily be changed by changing out the watch band Condition/Notes: Very Collectible wrist watch. Especially with the Alarm working as it should ( hammers very quick and strong ) * Denotes current condition. The service history of this watch is unknown to me unless I state otherwise. Therefore you should expect to service this watch if you are a responsible collector. Often times these watches have been forgotten in a jewelers desk or in a back room for 30 plus years. I like to save them from that demise and get them back into the hands of collectors. It doesn't take very long for old gummy oil to stop a movement from running ( many times just a week or so ) or even worse if the oil is dried out it might not take too long for the watch to grind itself up inside. This is not specific to my watches, but to all that have not been serviced in the last few years. For this reason we only wind a watch a few turns to verify if it will go through the paces, so please understand I can only tell you if the watch is running here. I am not putting a guarantee on the performance of a watch in reguards to timing or longevity. Thanks for looking.
