Here is a vintage, super cool old Yaesu vhf Handie talkie. It's powered by a large Ni-MH battery and has a internal backup for the memory channels.
If you have one of the cool old "Memorizer" radios, this ht would be a great compliment to your vintage station!It's in good shape and most likely works fine. I did not test it because the dc power supply I hooked to the terminals was only rated for 200ma and the tx draw would likely damage it or the radio. I doubt the battery would... hold a charge, but at this charging rate, it would take a week to find out.
This would make an awesome simplex radio, or simply something neat to have on the shelf in the shack! It's always cool to see how Yaesu has changed so much over the years, but if you said "I have an ft-208r" many hams would think it just came off the line! (No, it does not do System Fusion).
