National Union 45 Vacuum TubesFor sale I have a superb pair of as NOS National Union 45 vacuum tubes. Identical tubes with round upper micas with "legs", black plates and flat foil half hex getters. I let my 45s run for up to an hour to assure stability and accurate test readings. Tubes carefully tested for transconductance, shorts, gas, life and leakage. No tube is sold that has any gas, leakage or fails life and strength tests. Photo is of the actual tubes on auction. The Triplett 3444 is one of the finest testers ever made. Exceptional in every aspect. Superb with directly heated triodes.The Hickok KS 15874-L2 is a commercial version of the wonderful 118 Cardmatic. In my opinion, and the opinion of many tester experts, this is the best tester that wasmade by Hickok. A real gem.The Maxi-Matcher is a useful tester for measuring current draw and transconductance at 325/400 plate volts with 5 bias voltage settings. Very good with 6V6s and EL84s, this testerfalls a bit short of true operating levels on 6550s, EL34s, 5881s and 7027s. Still much betterthan most "suitcase" testers for measuring power pentodes. I do not trust the minimums on this testerand they are therefore not listed.
