Original Description:
Up for auction and fresh to the market from an old estate comes this beautiful older Chinese porcelain ginger jar that was made in to a lamp many years ago. The Jar is a beautiful Monochrome Mint Turquoise color and decorated with a Raised White slip decoration from top to bottom with Vines & Chrysanthemum Flowers & Bats and Shou Characters..I took the lamp apart and you can see it was marked with a hand painted "CHINA" mark and that's it...Its in excellent condition with ...no damage other then it was drilled with a hole in the bottom and a hole in the lid to make in to a lamp...so there are No other chips, No cracks and No repairs..The Jar portion measures approx 11" tall and the total height from the base to the top of the sockets it measures approx 22" tall..The Fancy base is made of Brass or Bronze and its marked Crest, and the rest of the lamp is made of brass..The lamp is currently wired and it works... Great old lamp!
