1948 Vintage 1st Polaroid Model 95 Original Land Camera Instant Folding Antique______________________________________________________________
This is THE original vintage Polaroid Land Camera Model 95. It was manufactured from 1948 to 1949 and is in EXCELLENT condition. In fact, it is one of the BEST I have seen!
It is constructed of heavy aluminum with perfect brown leatherette covering and a heavy leather carrying strap that is great condition with no signs of aging... at all. The shutter works as it is supposed to on both the Instant (I) and Bulb (B) settings. The aperture ring (or EV for Exposure Value as Polaroid termed it) turns freely to all of the 16 different apertures. The black bellows are in great condition with no light leaks. The viewfinder pops up and works great and the rollers inside are clean and turn freely. The camera measures 9 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 2" when closed. While there is a small amount of tarnish, this camera has absolutely no signs of abuse, misuse or damage...in fact it shows very little use at all.
If you're looking for the closest thing to a perfect example of the first Polaroid, then this is the camera for you! My pictures should give you a good idea of how beautiful this camera is...it was in fact very fun to photograph!
The model 95 camera was the first of Edwin Land's cameras and was only made for two years before the updated 95A, and 95B came out. This is one of the very first cameras to have a folding viewfinder and take the instant roll film. This camera is a great piece for the camera collector or to display!
