A pair of VINTAGE-AR manufactured grilles for Acoustic Research AR-5 speakers. These are complete with replacement grille cloth along with new logo plates which we have specially manufactured. These are shown with the AR-2ax logo plates on the cabinets as the grilles are identical. The actual AR-5 logo plates are shown separately. The grille cloth is a white linen material with the little "slubs" (heavy pieces of thread) running up and down the ...grille. It is the same weave as one of three AR used on the AR-3a speakers. The logo plates are an engraved brass alloy with a little gold which prevents the tarnishing common to the original plates. The font is an exact match to the original plate. The brass plate is mounted on a burgundy plastic backing. The brass is laser engraved which brings out the burgundy lettering. We have used an adhesive backing rather than the screw mount which sometimes broke off. Please browse our store.
