You are bidding on a very nice vintage No:51 Curved Sole C...ast Iron Spokeshave Refinished FOREIGN (German?) in good, clean refinished used condition. No cracks or repairs, the mouth is good with none of the usual small cracks to the corners.
FOREIGN mark to inside of casting, probably German made.
The unmarked iron is original, I have given it a hone and flattened the back on my Tormek & Creusen wheels so it is good and sharp. Body refinished in smooth black enamel over etching primer, really bright clean tool. Great addition to any collection or to use. 270g T&C's Shipping Notes To be added Notes on Shipping Charges MK Services DOES NOT seek to make profit on any shipping charges but buyers must appreciate that there are significant costs for packaging materials which we make a nominal charge for. Royal Mail Standard Small Parcels are only covered for loss to a limit of £20 GBP; items above this amount up to a limit of £50 GBP must be sent Signed For or Tracked in order to be properly covered; above this amount there are extra charges as well. Full cover is in our opinion prudent for both the buyers and sellers mutual protection. There is no ‘partial compensation’ for under insured items. SF costs approx. £5.30 extra pro rata. We are happy to ship without Signed For at buyers own risk and will require consent for this by email before shipping. We will always obtain a written Proof of Posting Slip at this end but this is not trackable. Buyers may check shipping costs at any time by visiting www.royalmail.com. International buyers should be aware that any item that exceeds the 2kg Small Airmail Packet weight limit will be SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive to ship and they should take care to investigate these costs BEFORE bidding.
