A stunning Hand knotted 100% Wool and handmade Afghanistan Persian Style Rug....also selling more rugs.
Afghan rugs are of very high quality and very traditional, as in this case with the horse features and patterns. Made totally by hand and tend to have a slightly rustic feel and represent life, with a central cartouche, which is said to be based on the elephant foot and bring good luck. A few creases on the photos as just unfolded, but these will come out as it is now ro...lled tightly.
It is good and heavy and thick at around 1/2 - 3/4 inch. In pinks, reds, browns, blues, grens, golds, etc.
The size is approximately 294cm x 214cm (9.6ft x 7ft) including the fringe.
It is in EXCELLENT condition with one patch of old moth damage of around 4'' (see last pic)...I didn't notice it at first as blends in with the colours....no fading stains or wear and just been cleaned.
Any variation in colour on the photos is due to light from the windows...not fading, etc! All rugs are cleaned using a professional carpet washer, which pushes clean water and disinfectants through the pile and sucks out any debris...so really fresh for the new owners.
