You are bidding on a Western Electric type 101D tennis ballshaped radio/audio tube. It has perfect appearance, but I am unable to get the filament to light. I can actually see all of the filament, and there are no breaks. So, the problem is inside the base. The envelope is not particuarly loose in the base, but it will rotate about 1/2 of a revolution. Possibly someone tried to unscrew this like a light bulb and broke a wire in the base. The int...ernal glass arbor is ingood condition with no cracks or breaks. There is some darkening from use. The designation is hot stamped on the base. It still retains the gold tips on the end ofthe pins for positive electrical contact. It is an attractive tube which someone may be able to return to usefulness, but in any case, it is great for display. Shipping weight is 1.25 pounds, well packed.
