This auction is fora beautiful pair of old Brush McCoy double-handle vases, circa early 1930’s. Brush-McCoy calledthis style the Fawn vase. It stands5" high and is 6" wide. Theglaze is known as Art Vellum and is a mottled type glaze done in shades of blue. These vases arelovely and would fit in well with any décor, especially arts and crafts. The clay is thick and the vases are quiteheavy. As far as conditiongoes, the vases are both in excellent cond...ition. There are no cracks or chips or damage. The only thing to mention is that there aresome glaze pops from the firing process, which is typical for this type of vase. There is also a small amount of roughness onthe bottom edges, more on one vase than the other, but I believe this is theway they were removed from the kiln and not a flaw. The vases arebeautiful! It is very rare to find apair in the same sale. This pair is asgood as it gets collectors! Thank youand good luck. Feel free to emailme with questions.
