Sweet 1940's Cardinal China / Pottery Rooster dish! Fabulous rooster and barnyard graphic on this triangle dish look to be hand painted. After much debate and research trying to find out what this fun piece was used for the best 2 choices among some experts was this beauty is either a soap saver dish or a spoon rest, but of course could be used any way you like! Only other piece from Cardinal China in this pattern we could find was an egg dish. This dish has a small opening at base of ...triangle on front with a larger opening in the backside. Dish also adorned with 3 feet on bottom to raise the dish. Made of ceramic with glossy glaze finish! This piece is just the bees knees and a great addition to your vintage decor kitchen!
Dish is in great condition for it's age! Graphic still in fab condition, one small ding on right edge corner and some grazing on top along with a hairline (but not broken through) on lower corner top and bottom. Usual pre-loved light surface wear here and there from years ofhelping Madge in the kitchen, but does not distract from this fab piece history. Could use a gentle wipe down with bubbles before use.
