"The play, Beginner’s Luck, was most known for its association with Bob Crane, lead actor in the TV series Hogan’s Heroes. When Hogan’s Heroes ended, Crane bought the producing rights to Beginner’s Luck. Greatly enjoying the character of Paul Burnett, he took the character to various locations throughout the country. One night in Scottsdale, Arizona Crane had a scheduled performance, but didn’t show up. He was found murdered in his hotel room. To this day, no one has been convicted for the murder of Bob Crane."
