This is a stunning antique Arts & Crafts Sterling Silver brooch. It is marked Silver, and has a makers mark in a quatrefoil (like a 4 leaf clover, I didn't know what it was called until I looked it up). It has a beautiful design, typically Arts and Crafts, with leaves, or rushes, and fine enamelling in blues and turquoise. I have to say I haven't worked out which way up it goes, it may have the hole at the base, and may have had a dangly pearl or something similar, or it may b...e at the top, as part of the design.It is in very good condition, and measures just under 1 inch long. Now a little information about postage.Most jewellery items come in new black cardboard or plastic jewellery boxes, with white wadding, and bubble wrap, for extra safety. These are then sent in jiffy bags, so all items should be very secure. The only exceptions to this are more delicate items, glass, china etc., that need added protection. These are sent in solid jewellery boxes, sometimes used, but always in very good condition. If you want an item for a present, and need a special box, do let me know, as I can normally find something appropriate to send it in. My standard UK postal charge of £2.20 covers the cost of postage, box, jiffy bag, bubble wrap etc. I am having to revise my postage rates for International Postage, as Royal Mail increased the rates from April 2014, but do remember, as always, I am happy to combine postage on any items that are paid for at the same time.
