Jacques Guerlain named his creation “Mitsouko” after the name of the heroine in the bestselling novel of that time called La Bataille. Mitsouko, a beautiful married Japanese woman, secretly loves a British officer. In 1905, the Russo-Japanese war breaks out. Mitsouko awaits with dignity the outcome of the battle, nobly dominating her feelings.
Jacques Guerlain had the incredible and daring idea of combining a ch...ypre with a very fruity peach note, giving this fragrance all of its modernity.
Designed by Georges Chevalier, its bottle is underscored with graceful scrolls typical of Art Nouveau. Its avant-garde stopper, in the form of a hollowed heart, represented a real technical feat at the time.

A masterpiece of balance and originality, Mitsouko marries a fruity note of peach with jasmine flowers and May rose. The mysterious dry-down of the fragrance blends spicy notes with those of underbrush and vetiver.

Anyway, this is my overbearingly long way of explaining to you why I charge the prices I do for what may seem like a "small sample": please keep in mind that I pay for all shipping (because who doesn't love free shipping?!), materials, glass vials, and of course, I value my time doing perfume research, communication with buyers (really important to me), and assembling samples while watching Netflix or bad reality TV (hehe).
This is not my original eBay seller account, but I have lots of repeat buyers on my other account and I love all of them (message me for details if interested) -- I especially adore my international buyers who go out of their way to spend extra on shipping to buy from me!
