This is a lovely ladies manual wind Art Deco watch fromBulova. Due to the symbol of a half-moon on the movement, I believe this watchto be either from 1928 or 1938. Not sure, but here is what my research shows… The symbol was used in 1928 and 1938. I read that the 6AFmovement was made from 1925-1936, so the watch could be from 1928. ON THE OTHER HAND, I also read that the markingsof "Bulova, Fifth Ave, New York" on the inside of the case, along with the word "Bulova" used with asmall... shield symbol on the outside of the case (which it also has) has beenshown to be used only during the 1930s, so it could be from 1938. YOU MAKE THECALL. LOL If it helps, there is also a serial number on the movement of 165251, and a serial number on the outside of the case of 6492542.The 15 jewels, 6AF movement was serviced; it runs strong andkeeps time. The 10K rolled gold plated case is in nice condition. I put a newglass crystal on it, but there was a tiny chip in the glass near the "6"… nottoo noticeable. The back of the movement has a clear plastic dust cover. Thewatch also has a cool vintage band. The total length of the watch with the bandon its widest setting is 6.5", but it can be made smaller.The case is 16mm wide not counting the crown, and 32mm longincluding the lugs.
