Vintage Original WW2 Army Jacket Size 37 R. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box.
Tag inside of right pocket has manufacturing dates from 1940-1942
Patches:•On the upper part of each arm is the sergeant patch with the letter TThose with the letter T were apart of the technician 5th grade. They were addressed as corporal. They possessed special skills that were honored with more pay. (these were also used for Vietnam war)
• this jacke...t also possesses on the right forearm, an overseas gold stripe patches which stands for overseas service • Below that patch is blue with olive colored diagonal stripe patch which was a sergeant stripe patch.•The USARPAC Insignia patch is found on the left upper arm almost shoulder. It has the arrow with the stars. The insignia of the U.S. Army Pacific was originally designed and approved for U.S. Army forces Pacific Ocean Areas on October 18, 1944.The patch contains a red arrow and white stars on a blue field.The red arrow of war denotes the valor and self-sufficiency of the forces of the command.The blue field represents the vast expanse of the command area.The white stars portray the North Star, Big Dipper and the Southern Cross, which locate the command headquarters.The stars of the insignia also recall a key date in the history of the U.S. Army and the U.S. Armed Forces in the Pacific. The total of 12 stars represents the month of December, the seven stars of the Big Dipper, the 7th day, and the four stars of the Southern Cross plus the North Star, the year '41: 12-7-41 - December 7, 1941, the date of the United States' entry into World Wa
condition: JACKET IS OVERALL IN GOOD CONDITION: however on few spots you could see tiny needle like holes in fabric maybe about 4-5 in all. pictures will show. They’re very tiny and hard to see but is definitely due to wear and tear. There is also two staples that I found in still in jacket which I left (could explain why there are small holes in the jacket) but that jacket is very much in tact.
It does not affect this jacket being wearable
And it’s in great condition otherwise!
