This listing is for two packages of curly chenille over wire, in a wonderful light, bright yellow, made in JAPAN. The chenille is vintage, from Franks Nursery, dating to the 1970's. It comes in it's original package, and was original 27 cents per package, marked down to 14 cents! . It is the small chenille, measuring 1/4" across. Each package contains 1 yard, so two yards total. The chenille is slightly flattened, from having been in the package all these years. The chenille is IOP (in ori...ginal package) and is NOS (new old stock). Franks Nursery (and crafts) went out of business in the last century, but had ALL kinds of great craft items for sale. (I have lots of chenille in other colors, vintage paper, spun cotton, and much more).
This chenille is perfect for ALL kinds of vintage crafts - and especially for making chenille hair for spun cotton head dolls. These types of dolls are most often angels, snowmen, santas, and more, used as holiday and party decorations. I have lots of the vintage spun cotton heads for sale, as well as other colors and sizes of chenille for sale. I also have lots of vintage crepe paper, that was often used to make clothes for the little dolls. The little dolls were often used as party favors, and mounted on cardboard bases.
You can buy new chenille over wire, but to have a true vintage look for your crafts, you need vintage craft items! The vintage has a wonderful look and feel to it, called "patina" - the aged look that things get over time.
