Nice original compass. Good working order with a lock down mechanism for the pearl dial and a further locking nut for the rotating upper bezel. The lid shuts nice and tight and the dial moves freely. The luminous paint is in poor condition as usual. And the rubber ring on the base has hardened and shrunk. Also marked on the base with the owners name R M Tyler. I did find a Lt Colonel Roper Maxwell Tyler of the Durham Light Infantry, but without a service number it would be impossible t...o confirm if this was the original owner. SOLD WITH NO RESERVE
