With regret, I am downsizing my teddy bear collection. I have many different types, which I will be listing in the coming weeks (or months). For now, I will only list them once to see if anyone is interested. If not, I get to keep them (although I have recently relisted some of them). :0) I live in a smoke-free home, but I do have cats who are barred from the bear room(!).
Please meet Higgins, a gorgeous antique/vintage Steif...f Original Teddy bear from Germany!! His EAN would be 5335, 01, and he was produced between 1950 and 1966, but I believe this particular bear is from the early 1960s. He is made of gold blond mohair that is very very clean. He has no I.D., but is guaranteed Steiff. He has all his claw stitching. He has almost no wear to his fur, except for a little loss in the center of his back seam right below his neck and near his nose from too many kisses (who could resist?). He is straw stuffed. His press squeaker is working, and he sounds almost like a loud duck! He wears a plaid bow. He is five-way jointed and in excellent used condition. Higgins is 13 inches tall and weighs 12 ounces. Could he be the one for you??? He is looking for a home where he can feed all the ducks and ducklings at your local lake. :0)

*****PLEASE NOTE: In case you don't know, depending on where you live, ebay is now collecting taxes in some states. When I send you an invoice or if you just pay for your item, I am unaware if you are being charged taxes or at what tax rate, as I am NOT the one collecting them. Sadly, I may have lost a good customer over this, so I am including this note in my listings so there's no confusion. So far, I only know about New Jersey (where I live) and New York (where the buyer who was so upset about this lives) are charging taxes. I'm sure there are other states as well. :0(
A quick note about shipping: Don't you hate it when you're overcharged by a seller on shipping???? A gazillion dollars to cross the pond or go across the country. It's ridiculous. I am striving to be accurate in my listing, but sometimes ebay's calculator is way off (especially for those outside the U.S.). When i calculate shipping, I add in extra weight for the box. If you're interested in an item outside the U.S., don't be scared by what the calculator is telling you. Please contact me and I'll find out exactly what it would cost to post to your country and make a note in the listing. I'll never overcharge you. If I quote you a number and i can get it to you cheaper, I'll immediately refund the difference.
