Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. If you need the nicest looking 676 mic out there for any live event or simply for display...you wont want tolet this one get away.
You are looking at a vintage 1960's era Electro Voice 676 Dynamic Cardioid microphone with Variable Impedance and made famous by Jim Morrison himself (lead singer of The Doors). It comes with an original E.V 300 model mic clip shown. It should be ...noted right away that this mic has been tested and is in excellent working condition. Often referred to as the "Jim Morrison mic" because of his preference to use this mic while performing live in concert. This 676 was a lite weight, handheld unit with amazing sound characteristics. As you can see in the pictures provided this mic is in excellent cosmetic condition having virtually no wear on the handle. Most 676 mics show a fair amount of use in the form of pitting and scratches that show up easily on the polished chrome finish. This is probably the nicest 676 mic I have ever come across. The front mesh screen has no deformation and zero tarnish. I did add a new inner foam liner as the original was completely gone for years of aging. It works great and helps to cut down on unwanted "pops" you might otherwise get from heavy breathing and wind. The black plastic strip on the top center grill that runs the length of the handle looks excellent as well as the 676 badge. The mic has the adjustable bass drop off lever seen in pic # 8. Simply adjust the lever up and down to the sound you need once the element is replaced. This mic is uni-directional cancelling out most background noise so it's ideal for live settings where that can be a problem. The mic comes with a gorgeous original E.V 300 model mic clip that works great and provides plenty of tension with a wide degree of tilt for the mic up or down. The clip will screw on to any American desk or floor stand. These 676 mics take a 4 pin cable to operate the mic. They are easily found here on Ebay as are the 4 pin to XLR adapters.
