Original Jaws advertising material is highly sought after, even more so in the case of these banners. Following discussions with leading Jaws memorabilia experts and dealers, none of them had ever seen one of these banners before and all class them as ‘extremely rare’. It is believed that they were quite possibly printed in Australia for distribution in local newspapers. This could explain why none have been sighted until now as advertisements distributed this way rarely survi...ve.These rare items were discovered in a recent collection purchase from the estate of a deceased collector, who through his hoarding managed to save thousands of hard to find posters, cards and stills from being thrown out by local Wellington (NZ) theatres from the 1950's - 1980's (see image). These obviously unused peices are a must for any serious Jaws collector and not expected to remain available for very long!
