Great bright colors and amazing skillful handwork in this vintage folk art mola textile. Features a large bird and fish with two fishermen. Layers of fabric are cut and sewn with very tiny stitches to create the images. Hand-embroidered details decorate the fins, the fisherman's hat, the bird's beak. The fishing line is made from ricrac and the piece is trimmed with ricrac along the top edge. Some machine stitching on the borders, top and bottom. Measures 18 inches by 16 inches. In... good vintage condition with a small hole in the black fabric below the bird's head (see last photo), a vintage fabric repair, and some wear along the black background lines you can see in the first photo. A wonderful folk art find!
