A fancy cast iron garden bench made in Brooklyn New York and patent dated 1895 by Peter Timmes Son. The back of the bench states Pat. May 7 1895.This filigree patterned bench is the most elaborate of a school of benches made in New York City in the late 19th century and commonly referred to as the curtain pattern. There are examples of this bench in both the Brooklyn Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum. Shipping costs will be determined, if any.
