SURROUND FACTS Surrounds are a critical element of speaker performance. The surround not only affects the bass parameters of a speaker it also absorbs and reflects various cone vibrations throughout the frequency spectrum. Further, the surround often determines the response of a speaker to peak signals. Serious speaker designers put much effort and science into the specifics of each particular surround. The type of material, treatment, thickness profile, curvature, angle of attach...ment and the exact method of attachment all come into play. There are as many variations of surrounds as there are speaker brands and generally they are not interchangeable. That's why at Audiodogs you will only get parts that meet the specifications for your speaker and not something that merely fits.
This sale is for 4 foam surrounds for the 8" Tannoy C88 speakers. I sell American made foam surrounds that are designed for your speakers. These foams are the correct density, weight and profile so that your speaker will function as the manufacturer intended. Not all speaker foams are equal and getting the size right is only half the battle.
