VINTAGE WAKOUWA CHAMPS TOYThis listing is for a "push puppet" toy made by Wakouwa. Pushing up on the spring via the bottom button releases the tension in the strings holding the wooden pieces together. The pieces collapse and then pop back up when the button is released. This variation is a pair of boxers in a ring that appear to fight as the bottom button is operated.
The base measures about 2 1/2 inches square and the boxers and ring stand about 4 1/2 inches tall.
The piece is ...in good condition. It operates well when the button is operated. There is wear and some surface dirt to the pieces. The label has some losses (photo 2). One of the corner posts to the ring is broken off (photo 12).
