This brooch is a jaw dropper! Produced during the 1940-1950s by Adele Simpson jewelry. Adele Simpson jewelry is considered rare. The metal is gold plate over sterling silver, and the large rhinestones are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. It is marked on the back with the words Sterling and Adele Simpson. This piece measure 2 1/4 by 21/4 inches. Adele Simpson was a fashion designer and even designed for some of America's First Ladies, Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon, and Barbara ...Bush. She worked into her 70s, retiring in 1985, and passed away 1991. 5 clear white square rhinestones in the middle. 5 very light blue faceted rhinestones on springs of metal. surrounded by 24 blue almost tourqoise stones in semi circles . the pin back is slightly bent but i see no other flaws
