Vintage  U.S. Army 89th Military Police ( MP ) Leather Arm Band with Unit Patch and Triple Snap Closures as shown in our photos. The 89th Military Police Brigade was based at Fort Hood, Texas and activated in the midst of the Vietnam War on March 15, 1966. They supported troops throughout the entire conflict while earning fifteen campaign streamers. They were deactivated on Dec. 21, 1971. On Sept. 13, 1972 the unit was activated at Fort Lewis, Washington and designed to command an...d control the operations of three to five military police battalions. Then on Feb. 21, 1976 the colors were transferred back to Fort Hood, Texas. Since then they have had engagements in the Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom. This U.S. Army 89th Military Police Leather Arm Band shows plenty of wear inside and out but will make an excellent bit of military memorabilia for a collector.
