An Antique Late C19th Century Victorian Era Ring, set with a natural Blue Gem! The Ring is made from 22ct Gold and stamped: 22 To denote the gold grade......The piece is a family example and belonged to a Great-Great Aunt.....whilst this aunt had impeccable taste her jewellery was never second rate and largely bespoke......i would presume this ring was one of either her commissions which pre-date the 1920's or her Mother-In-Laws which would date the ring to the early 1900s.
The blue... stone unequivocally is a natural gem. It Has been suggested it's probably An Aquamarine, but my jeweler could not rule out either Natural Tourmaline or Blue Zircon....All of which are gems of merit.

"Approximate" Overall Weight: 3 Grams! An Interesting Piece Of Jewellery!
Condition: Appears Pretty Good. Usual Evidence Of Surface Wear From Prior Antique Usage. NB: This Period Piece Of Jewellery Is Still Very Wearable, But on taking the photographs i note a small nibble to the corner edge of the square cut stone. Not an issue of significance but mentioned for accuracy. It's still a fabulous piece of period jewellery.
