This auction is for one reel and box of Scotch 226 tape. It is 1.93 mil in thickness and 2500 feetlong. It can record one side of an LP at 15 ips, on a single side of tape. Introduced in 1979, one of Scotch’s better back-coated tape, type 226, has outstanding remanence, 1.25 flux lines per ¼ inch, which is thehighest that Scotch produced, and among the highest ever in profe...ssional reelto reel tape. It also has excellent coercivity, 360 oersteds and outstanding, industry-leading, retentivity of 1400 gauss, It’s very nice tape to work with in thestudio. This tape has been gently used. It has a performance of the Memphis Orchestra on it fro 1986. Though the box is in excellent shape, it has writing on the reverse. I can bulk erase this tape for you before I post it, if you request.
