VINTAGE FRENCH COPPER STOVE TOP KETTLE BRASS BLUE WHITE PORCELAIN HANDLE TIN LINED HOLDS 1.75LT
This is a vintage French stove top copper kettle tin lined With a brass blue and white porcelain swing handle copper lid This knob has a blue and white porcelain knob on the topThe brass swing handle is fixed to the copper kettle with copper Rivet it holds approx. 1.75lt
It was dirty and tarnished when l found it in a old French Hanger (barn) see pictures 7, 8... , 9 I would say this pan has had very little use if used at all It still had its lacquer protective Coating on it this comes off when you first use or wash it I have given it a wash in hot soapy water and polished it Now most of the lacquer protective coating has gone see pictures
I have tested it and it boils fine does not leak See pictures 12 It stands Approx. 200mm 8 inches tall toThe top of copper porcelain swing handle 200mmapprox. 8inches a cross from the copper spout
180mmapprox. 7inches across the base and
It holds approx. 1.75lts approx. 3.UK pints approx. 3.70 US pints The tin lining is in excellent condition it is grey this is normal as tin goes greyWith age and not being used it will shine back with use
